WHO WE ARE

Volkswagen Revival is a parkway ride and poker run that donates proceeds to the Black Mountain Home for children.

Heath White and Tim Hayes, a couple of nutty  Volkswagen enthusiasts wanted to have a Volkswagen cruise event for charity. This was the start of Volkswagen Revival. This will be an annual poker run cruise with a different route each year. All proceeds go to the Black Mountain Home for Children to help the children be all they can be.

How it Works:

Driving to help children succeed

On Saturday, October 26th, 2019, We will be meeting just outside of Asheville, North Carolina, on the banks of the French Broad River; 1648 Brevard Road. This is the old Sandy Bottom Picnic Area off of Highway 191, just south of the Blue Ridge Parkway. This is also the home of the Zen Tubing south location. We will open our gates at 9:00 a.m. and check-in will start at 10:00. The cost is $25 per car. You can preregister through this website by emailing us. (Our email is found at the bottom of the page). You may also register at the door. Payment is collected on the morning of the event. All payment MUST be in cash. This event is NOT exclusive to Volkswagen owners! Anyone with a collector car, motorcycle, dune buggy, Barbie car, or everyday grocery-getter is encouraged to participate. There will be door prizes. Also, there will be first, second and third place prizes for the best poker hand; and some fun awards as well. There will also be a prize for the worst hand.

All participants are asked to be back at the starting point (1648 Brevard Road) by 4:30.
